How are the People at Gerometta's Resort?
What a great place for people staying in the cabins or bringing their RV. The hostesses were so helpful and friendly. We loved staying there so much we want to share with you pictures of the campground so you can see more for yourself.
What is it Like on Indian Lake at Gerometta's Resort?
The boats are for rent to guests and run well on beautiful Indian Lake. Indian Lake is the 8th largest lake in area in Michigan. Its shaped like Africa and feels just as big. The cool thing about this lake is that it is very shallow. While we were there we only saw fishing boats and pontoon boats on the lake. The lake is quiet and really there is very little traffic. The shallow levels keep boats from driving fast as there are a lot of places too shallow for boats on the lake. We also saw many varieties of birds including eagles, geese, sandhill cranes, and multiple varieties of ducks.
What is the Fishing Like at Gerometta's Resort?
If you want your child to learn to fish our brood caught 100's of perch off the dock with worms, during our stay. They caught so many they had to take the fish off themselves and set the worms as it didn't take long for their excitement to build with urgency to catch more. Worms are available for purchase on-site.
What are Local Attractions Near Gerometta's Resort?
Next door to Kitch-iti-Kipi (Palm Brook State Park / The Big Spring) and 45 minutes away from the Garden Peninsula and Historic Fayette State Park. Also only an hour from Seney National Wildlife Refuge or Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore near Munising. Two hours west of the Bridge.
What are the Campsites Like at Gerometta's Resort?
There are RV sites throughout the resort. Some have concrete pads. The area we parked was tucked back in a corner with about 15 full hookup sites. The path through the woods is a little tight but we parked next to a big rig with a tag axle and they seemed to have navigated the path well. The hookups include include 50\30amp, water, and sewer. Also included are picnic tables and fire pits. Firewood is available for purchase on-site. Tent sites are also available. If you don't have a travel trailer or Motorhome you can rent one of Gerometta's cottages. The cottages look great and many if not all the cottages were in use when we stayed there.
